Cholera TimeMap

2011 to 2012
Humanities Lab
The Haiti Lab cholera project was launched shortly after cholera appeared in Haiti in October of 2010. It resulted in a November 2011 article in the CDC journal Emerging Infectious Diseases and a digital map by Deborah Jenson, Victoria Szabo, and the Haiti Lab Student Research Team (click link below to launch). The article and accompanying map explore historical outbreaks of cholera in the Caribbean in order to lend insight into the current spread of the disease in Haiti, where cholera has not existed previously.
