Student in Graduate Liberal Studies
-- Duke University
HWL Affiliation: Humanities Lab
Returning to graduate school after working as a scientist in biotechnology, James Wahlberg is a student in Duke’s Graduate Liberal Studies program. He has fashioned a course of study combines work with humanists on myth, narrative, and literature and work with neuroscientists and anthropologists on brains, behavior, and human evolution. He is conducting experiments that explore connections of narrative and neuroscience; specifically, space as a narratological and cognitive dimension and joint action as a function of narrative exposure.
