Aria is director of Open Knowledge at the Innovation and Technology Policy Lab at the Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University and Associate Director of Outreach and Lecturing Fellow at the Thompson Writing Program at Duke.

An open knowledge activist, Aria's work focuses on participatory technologies, media literacy, digital communication, and education innovation.
