William Noland has pursued independent careers in sculpture, photography and video. He has had numerous solo sculpture exhibitions nationally and internationally, has exhibited and published his photography widely, and in recent years has screened experimental documentary video work at number of international Film Festivals and other venues. He has also done video design for a growing number of multi-media theatrical productions. He was the recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship in sculpture in 1987, a Fulbright Scholar Award in photography in 1995, and served as a contributing photographer and as an editorial advisor for the journalistic/literary quarterly DoubleTake.
