Graduate Student, Carolina-Duke Graduate Program in German Studies
-- Duke University
Rory Bradley's graduate work in the Carolina-Duke Graduate Program in German Studies focuses on German ghost stories in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries and the ways in which ghosts function as agents of a transition to new forms of spectral power and authority. He received his BA in German Studies and the College of Letters from Wesleyan University in Connecticut, where he co-hosted a weekly program of original radio dramas for the University’s radio station, WESU. Rory is also involved in the local independent film community; together with his wife, he has directed two shorts films and was on the selection committee for the 7th annual Carrboro Film Festival.
