On WUNC's The State of Things, Frank Stasio interviewed three Latina women involved in The Housecleaner Project, an HWL Emerging Network. He also spoke with Liliana Paredes, linguist and director of Duke's Spanish Language Program; Yuri Ramirez, a doctoral candidate in history at Duke. They were joined by Luke Smith, psychiatrist and executive director of El Futuro, a behavioral health treatment organization for Spanish-speaking individuals.

The Housecleaner Project brings together Durham housecleaners with Duke faculty and students in order to document the lives of these women and their contribution to our community. It seeks to promote greater recognition of the work and rights of Durham housecleaners.
